Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years. As a part of traditional Chinese
Medicine, it is used to help treat a myriad of conditions, including body pains, headaches, and
even insomnia. Only in recent years has Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, or “cosmetic acupuncture” as it is
sometimes known as, been in the spotlight.
What is it?
Facial acupuncture is a part of traditional acupuncture- it not only addresses any signs of
aging but also aims to improve your skin’s overall health. We put needles into specific points
on the face to help stimulate collagen production and improve skin quality and brightness while
also using body points to improve immunity and the balance and flow of qi.
Essentially, it’s a natural and safe alternative to facial fillers and Botox treatments!
So how does it work?
Basically, the needles’ physical act of puncturing the skin causes positive micro-traumas,
which in turn, sends signals to the body to produce more collagen to help heal that area. The
micro-traumas help to improve blood circulation and increase healing speed, which gives a
glow to the skin after the treatment, and is also what we have to thank for stimulating collagen
production, which helps to minimize fine lines and wrinkles.
What should you expect?
The main result of the patient’s experience is a much brighter complexion, while some have even
noticed a slight facelift. The recommended amount of sessions is about 6 treatments for once
a week for optimum results. Afterward, we recommend monthly maintenance upkeep.
Facial acupuncture can be an excellent option if you don’t want Botox, and are looking for a
a natural, holistic way to reduce those fine lines and wrinkles, brighten your complexion, reduce
redness and acne, and especially improve your overall health!!

How well does Facial Acupuncture work?
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture may erase as many as five to fifteen years from the face, with results apparent after just a few treatments. The effects included: the skin becoming delicate and fair, improvement of the elasticity of facial muscles and leveling of wrinkles, a ruddier complexion, and overall rejuvenation–not confined to the face. Since the Sung Dynasty (960AD-1270AD), facial acupuncture has been used for the Imperial Concubines.
How many treatments does it take to see results?
While nothing is permeant, with just 6 treatment you will begin to notice a change that could last up to a year. We encourage monthly routine maintenance to keep your skin bright and lifted. Obviously the more treatment you have the better your results.
